Centraide Haiti

Advocate for a Local Community Structure (Centraide) in each local jurisdiction which takes charge of their community.  Provide expertise to those local community structures to regain the vertue of community solidarity to bar corruption, impunity, embezzlement, abuse of power and authority. Facilitate the establishment of periodic strategic plans for their community in state/private partnership where each individual, enterprise, and institution come to recognize and own their stakes in the process of local political and socioeconomic development. This, will trigger national development and relieve the international community from the Haiti too-heavy burden.Mission - Empower the local communities to work in solidarity through citizen participation in the political, social et economic process. Promote social protection of communities, individual welfare, and partnerships between private and public sector for capacity development, financing and research.Objectives - Advocate solidarity within local communities - Establiss a culture of volunteerism - Advocate for durable consolidation of a private/public partnership - Stimulate reciprocal knowledge of different local cultures and academia within a Centraide/United Way networking - Cultivate in synergy a partnership for social services to the neediest and advocate for good political governance of the local communities - Assist local stakeholders to take ownership of their communities and facilate capacity building, and - Encourage entrepreneurship.
